2026 SEASON - Legends Players of the week

Mason Anderson (WR/St. Francis) With six receptions Anderson scored three touchdowns and gained 103 yards. His TDs covered 35, 34 and 13 yards.

Mason Anderson (QB/West Seneca West) In a win against Williamsville North with 1st place in Class A-1 on the line Anderson excelled. He was very accurate completing 24-32 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown. He ran 12 times for 35 yards and another two TDs. He showed command of his offense along with great leadership.

AJ Cinquino (RB/North Tonawanda) Cinquino led the Lumberjacks to their best offensive game of the season. He scored five touchdowns while carrying the ball 22 times for 275 yards.

Carter DerSarkissian (RB-S/Barker Rot-Hart) Helping the Bulls keep their spot atop Class C-North DerSarkissian scored six touchdowns. He ran gained 216 yards while carrying the ball just ten times and scoring on five of those runs and added a 2-point conversion. He also returned a punt 88 yards for a touchdown. He did this while only playing in the first half.

Elijah Doxey (RB/OC Rivals) Limited touches did not slow Doxey’s production. With seven carries he scored three touchdowns. He caught one pass for another score. He also had a punt return of 50 yards. Handling the ball just nine times he accumulated 187 combined yards to go along with those four TDs. Defensively he made 11 tackles including 2 TFL.

Everett Fix (QB/Lancaster) In a battle of the top AA teams Fix led the Legends offense by completing timely passes and running for two touchdowns in their win against Bennett.

Christian Hall (DB/West Seneca East) The Trojans maintained their top spot in Class B-1 after their convincing win over Williamsville South. Hall led the defense with 11 tackles. He also had an interception and recovered a fumble on special teams.

Harper McKenzie (WR/Clarence) McKenzie had an outstanding performance for the Red Devils. With 9 receptions he gained 195 yards and scored three touchdowns.

Ross Michalski (DB/Springville) The freshman certainly had an impressive outing from his safety position. He intercepted three passes returning two for touchdowns. Those TDs covered 55 and 11 yards respectively and he totaled 111 return yards. With just two carries he ran for 34 yards and a third TD and even kicked one extra point. He also made five tackles.

Kamron Minter (DE/McKinley) One of the Macks defensive stars Minter had 14 tackles, 4 TFL and forced a fumble in their win over Maryvale.

Dom Myers (RB-DB/Olean) Leading his team in both passing and rushing the sophomore had another noteworthy game for the Huskies. With just eight passes' Myers threw for two touchdowns. He ran 17 times for 147 yards and another two TDs. Defensively he contributed five tackles, two of which were for loss of yardage.

Jaiden Rainey (RB/LB-Cleveland Hill) When the Golden Eagles need him Rainey certainly delivered. He ran for 256 yards on 17 carries and scored four touchdowns. He made four tackles and was credited with a half sack and forced fumble.

Cole Schlueter (RB-LB/Pioneer) Schlueter impacted the game on both sides of the ball. He ran for two touchdowns and 131 yards on 16 carries. He also made 11 tackles for the Panthers.

Peyton Taylor (QB/Eden-North Collins) Helping the Raiders back into the win column Taylor threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns. For the night he completed 15-21 of his pass attempts. He also ran for 59 yards and another score.

Gabe Terry (RB-S/Hamburg) Another monster game from Terry was not a surprise. In the Bulldogs win he had 16 carries for 208 yards and four touchdowns. He also contributed on defense with seven tackles.

Connor Finnegan (QB/DB-Maryvale) In a big win for the Flyers Finnegan did a bit of everything. He completed six of seven passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns. He ran for another 78 yards. He even caught two passes. On the other side of the ball he recovered a fumble, had two pass breakups, blocked an extra point and made three tackles.

Dontre Hampton (RB-Bennett) Bennet remains unbeaten in Sec. VI and Hampton is a big reason. He had 20 carries foe 175 yards and three touchdowns. With 53 receiving yards he finished the game with 227 all-purpose yards.

David Janora (RB/LB-Springville) You would not know Janora never played organized football at any level prior to this season. He plays at full speed at is noticeable to even casual fans. In just one half of play he gained 159 yards on just seven carries and added a two-point conversion. His two touchdown runs covered 64 and 48 yards respectively. He also made seven tackles.

Elijah Kimble (RB-Canisius) It’s been 24 years in the making. With 263 yards on the ground Kimble set a new Western New York All-Time Rushing record. His combined 6,626 yards have surpassed Jehuu Caulcrick who ran for 6,559 yards for Clymer HS from 1999-2002.

Anthony Mantione (QB-Grand Island) With an explosive first half the Vikings remain undefeated and Mantione was responsible for most of the scoring. He threw two touchdown passes while completing six of ten passes for 158 yards. His two scoring throws covered 68 and 45 yards. On the ground he ran for 162 yards and four touchdowns on just nine carries.

Anthony Martis (QB-Williamsville East) In just over one half of play Martis led the Flames back into the win column by completing 9 of 14 passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a 2-point conversion.

Maddox Nedescu (WR/DB-Amherst) Helping the Tigers to their first win of the season Nedescu certainly made the most of his touches. With two receptions for 90 yards, he scored touchdowns on both of his catches. Defensively he had two interceptions including one that he returned 40 yards for a third TD.

Silas Nellis (WR/DB-Eden/North Collins) In a shootout with JFK Nellis caught eight passes for 134 yards and three TDs. From his defensive back position, he had  an interception.

Tyler Piniewski (RB/LB-JFK) In a wild and exciting game that saw JFK come out on top with a last-minute score Piniewski had 32 carries for 252 yards and an impressive five touchdowns. Defensively he had two pass breakups.

Isaac Platt (RB/LB-Iroquois) In an important Class B-2 contest Platt was a difference maker. He ran for 119 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. He made an even greater impact from his linebacker spot. He finished the game with 16 tackles, including two for loss of yardage.

Cal Rogers (RB/LB-Williamsville North) The Spartans remain undefeated and atop Class A-1 with their win over Orchard Park. Rogers had three catches on the evening for 74 yards. He scored on two of his receptions including the game winning touchdown with less than 30 seconds remaining. He had a big game on defense

with a sack, a fumble recovery, 3 TFL and a blocked punt.

Manny Sanchez (RB-Silver Creek/Forestville) The Black Knights scored 37 unanswered points on their way to an impressive come from behind upset of Wilson. Sanchez ran 29 times for 210 yards and four touchdowns against the #10 ranked Class D school in the state.

Hayden Schappacher (RB/DB-Portville/Cuba Rushford/Bolivar Richards) Another impressive performance by Schappacher on both sides of the ball. He ran 20 times for 221 yards and scored four touchdowns. He even completed 3 of 4 pass attempts for 54 yards. He intercepted a pass, broke up a pass, recovered a fumble and made two tackles.

Scott Stowe (QB-Lockport) Although Lockport lost on the game’s final play Stowe had an outstanding effort for the Lions. He threw three touchdowns and completed 16 of 23 pass attempts for 281 yards. He ran for another 77 yards and scored two 2-point conversions.

Josh Urban (RB/LB-West Seneca East) With 1st place in the division on the line Urban led the Trojans to their 5th win of the season. Carrying the ball 26 times he gained 164 yards and scored five touchdowns. He led the team with 11 total tackles. Included were four solo stops and 1 TFL.

Jordan Brown (RB/Williamsville North) Leading the Spartans to their fourth consecutive win Brown had 15 rushing attempts and gained 156 yards.

Gavin Burchanowski (QB-FS/CSP) Burchanowski finished the game with four rushing touchdowns on just 11 carries while gaining 154 yards and threw a 44-yard touchdown pass. From his Free Safety position, he intercepted one pass.

Tyrone Clark, Jr. (RB/St. Francis) The top two teams in Western New York did not disappoint when they met at the Canisius field. Clark had 19 carries for 196 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a 19-yard catch and run for another TD. His fourth quarter 50-yard score proved to be the winning points for the Red Raiders.

Elijah Doxey (RB/OC Rivals) Doxey made every reception count as he scored on all three of his catches. One touchdown covered 85 yards, and he had a total of 133 receiving yards. He also had 104 rushing yards. Defensively he intercepted two passes, returning one 67 yards for a TD. Overall, he made eight tackles.

Lance Franklin (LB/Chautauqua Lake-Westfield-Brocton) Franklin was nothing short of extraordinary in this contest. He had eight solo and a combined 15 tackles. With two pass interceptions he returned both for touchdowns covering 74 and 53 yards. He forced a fumble that led to another TD for the Eagles.

Philip Gangi (QB/Williamsville South) Playing previously unbeaten McKinley, Gangi was instrumental in the Billies win. He had total command of his offense. While the Macks defense created challenging headwinds, Gangi protected the ball and committed zero turnovers. He finished with three passing touchdowns. In the second half, when needed, Gangi also helped with the run game.

Trey Johnson (RB-LB/Cheektowaga) With just 12 carries Johnson ran for 172 yards and three TDs for the Chargers.

Owen Kicinski (RB/St. Joseph’s C.I.) Only carrying the ball eight times Kicinski averaged nearly 18 yards a carry, gaining 142 yards and scoring four touchdowns

Elijah Kimble (RB/Canisius) In a much-anticipated matchup with St. Francis Kimble ran the ball 33 times for 272 yards and four touchdowns. His scoring runs covered a combined 157 yards.

Brock Lamont (RB-MLB/Akron) Lamont was quite impactful running the ball. He gained 176 yards and scored one touchdown with 15 carries. Defensively he stood out just as much. With 16 tackles on the day, he had 12 solo stops.

Grant Michalski (RB-DB/Springville) In a close game Michalski helped the Griffins to a 26-20 victory. For the day he ran for three touchdowns on 16 carries and gained 142 yards. On the other side of the ball, he contributed five tackles.

Dylan Newman (RB-DB/Falconer-Cassadaga Valley-Maple Grove) Newman led the Golden Falcons to a hard-fought win with 214 rushing yards. He ran the ball 30 times and scored two touchdowns. From the defensive backfield he made five solo tackles and assisted on two others.

Aiden Phillips (RB-LB/Alden) With a fourth consecutive week of rushing for 140 yards or more Phillips ran for 168 yards. He scored two touchdowns on 30 carries. Defensively, he made five tackles.

Isaac Platt (RB-LB/Pioneer) Carrying the ball 21 times Platt ran for three touchdowns and 150 yards. From his linebacker position he intercepted two passes, made two tackles for loss and had five total stops.

Matt Wright (LB-RB/Orchard Park) Helping the Quakers to remain undefeated and atop Class A-1 Wright made plays all over the field on the defensive side of the ball. He finished the game with 14 solo tackles (18 combined tackles) a sack and four tackles for loss of yardage. He caught two passes for 79 yards and one

touchdown.

Zach Bridenbaker (RB-LB/Depew) Averaging 20 yards a carry Bridenbaker led Depew to their fourth consecutive win. He ran for 232 yards on just 16 carries while scoring three times. He had eight tackles, four of which were solo stops.

Tyrone Clark, Jr. (RB/St. Francis) While facing a tough opponent in Cardinal Mooney of Ohio, Clark scored all five of the Red Raiders touchdowns. Four of his TDs came on the ground as he gained 136 yards on 21 carries. After Mooney tied the score in the first quarter Clark had a 90-yard kickoff return for a TD.

Mason Coulter (RB-LB/Wilson) Wilson stays out of the loss column in no small part due to the efforts of Coulter. He had 23 carries and gained 221 yards while scoring four touchdowns. He had a disruptive performance on the defensive side of the ball which included five tackles.

Zack Dana (WR-DB/Orchard Park) Dana help the Quakers secure a fourth quarter come from behind win. He had five receptions for 103 yards and one touchdown which covered 65 yards. From his defensive back position, he made six tackles.

Carter Dersarkissian (RB-S/Barker Roy-Hart) Facing a previously unbeaten Springville team Dersarkissian turned in a dominate performance. Carrying the ball an impressive 35 times he gained 270 yards and scored three touchdowns. He also contributed with five tackles.

Philip Gangi (QB/Williamsville South) Completing over 70% of his passes Gangi threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns while connecting on 27 of his 38 attempts.

Alexander Garland (RB-DB/Randolph) Another strong running performance by Garland helped the Cardinals to their third win of the year. A patient runner who waits for his linemen to make their blocks Garland scored two touchdowns while running for 107 yards on 18 carries. He also had an interception and made eight tackles.

Dontre Hampton (RB-LB/Bennett) Barely playing more than the first half Hampton made plays on both sides of the ball for the Tigers. He ran for 110 yards on just 10 carries. One of his two rushing TDs covered 60 yards. He had a 40-yard interception return for another score. He made 10 tackles, had a tackle for loss of yardage and recovered a fumble.

Tashawn Henley (OL-DL/McKinley) When lining up in the backfield Henley made the most of his carries. Running ten times for 134 yards he had an impressive 55-yard run for a touchdown where he broke several tackles. His play on the other side of the ball was even more impressive. He had 4 1⁄2 sacks, ten solo and 14 total tackles.

Elijah Kimble (RB-LB/Canisius) In the 105th version of the most storied rivalry in Western New York Kimble turned in another outstanding performance. Leading Canisius past St. Joe’s he ran for 293 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. He also had an interception, one sack and made four tackles.

Anthony Mantione (QB-LB/Grand Island) Accounting for all six of their touchdowns Mantione helped the Vikings remain undefeated. Completing 17 of 21 attempts he threw for 248 yards and four touchdowns. He ran for the other two scores while gaining 92 yards on nine carries. From his linebacker position he had seven tackles.

Gavin Miller (WR-DB/Akron) Returning from an injury Miller led the Tigers to their first win of the season. Normally playing receiver, he was needed in the backfield when illness kept their starting running back out of action. Stepping up for his teammates in a big way Miller ran 24 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns. He added a 2-point conversion. He accounted for seven tackles, a sack, forced a fumbled and recovered a fumble.

Jake Morello (SB-LB/Newfane) Leading the Panthers to their second consecutive win Morello ran for two touchdowns and threw for another. With just seven carries he gained 182 yards. He completed both of his pass attempts for 41 yards. He also had four tackles.

Manny Sanchez (RB/Silver Creek-Forestville) Sanchez was impressive for the Black Knights in their second win of the season. Running 14 times, he gained 154 yards and found the end zone four times.

Joe Santoro (RB-DB/Williamsville East) The Flames are unbeaten and tied atop their division with Santoro playing a key role in the latest win. He had 16 rushing attempts while gaining 171 yards and scoring a touchdown. He had five receptions for 37 yards and another score. He also had his second interception of the season.

Aiden Banks (WR/Lancaster) Banks had a superlative outing against Health Sciences. In this triple overtime contest, he had eight catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns. He also made a highlight catch for a two-point conversion that forced overtime.

Acari Brown (WR-DB/Bennett) Helping Bennett to their first win of the season Brown contributed with a dominating performance. He finished the game with 12 solo tackles and a tackle for loss of yardage. He also caught two passes and returned two punts.

Jordan Delaney (WR-DB/West Seneca East) The Trojans remain undefeated in part thanks to Delaney’s two receiving touchdowns including one that covered 56 yards. He also had two interceptions.

Carter Dersarkissian (S-WR-RB/Barker Roy-Hart) Leading the Bulls to a second consecutive win Dersarkissian ran for three touchdowns and 147 yards on 15 carries. Defensively he forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and broke up two passes.

Jaylen Hawkins (RB/Sweet Home) Leading the Panthers to their first win of the young season Hawkins carried the ball 31 times. He ran for 234 yards and scored all four of his team’s touchdowns.

Julian Jackson-Rodriguez (WR-DB/St. Mary’s of Lancaster) He was a big part of the Lancers exciting win. He caught four passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns. Including a highlight catch and run for the winning score on the game’s final play. Earlier he recovered a fumble, broke up a pass and made three tackles.

Ian Kindermann (WR-DB/Chautauqua Lake-Westfield-Brocton) Making the most of his opportunities Kindermann scored two touchdowns on just three pass receptions. He intercepted two passes.

Quentin Littleton (MLB/Canisius) Playing the top-ranked team in West Virginia, Littleton had an outstanding defensive game with an incredible 17 tackles, a forced fumble and recovered a fumble.

Grant Michalski (RB-DB/Springville) Michalski made plays all over the field to help the Griffins stay unbeaten. He ran for one touchdown. He caught two TD passes and a two-point conversion. He had a 65-yard punt return for another score. He added six tackles. He did this while only playing the first half of the game.

Terrance Shuford (RB-LB/Health Sciences) In the Falcons triple overtime thriller Shuford was imposing on both sides of the ball. He had 25 carries for 271 yards and three touchdowns including the game winner in the third overtime period. He made 14 tackles and two sacks with a forced fumble and one tackle for loss of yards.

Jordan Thomas-Smith (WR-DB/Dunkirk) The freshman had quite a game for the Marauders. He scored three touchdowns and also caused two turnovers.

Jacob Toomey (QB/Williamsville North) Toomey helped guide the Spartans to a win in this Class A-1 contest by completing 10 of 11 passes for 163 yards and four  touchdowns. He intercepted a pass and made four tackles.

Arnette Williams (WR-DB/Health Sciences) Williams was instrumental in this early season thriller. He had three receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown. He also had two interceptions and made four tackles.

Preston Woodworth (QB/OC Rivals) Woodworth led the Rivals to an important B-1 divisional win. Completing 23 of his 34 passes for 299 yards he threw three touchdowns. One of those touchdowns came on the last play of the first half. His third came with two seconds remaining in the game for the winning score. He also completed two 2-point conversions.

Ayden Wronski (RB-LB/Fredonia) Leading the Hillbillies back into the win column Wronski scored a touchdown while carrying the ball 21 times and running for 162 yards. He also chipped in with 8 tackles – one of which was behind the line of scrimmage.

Blake Beckerink (WR-DB/CSP) Beckerink certainly made the most of his opportunities. Leading the Wolfpack to their second consecutive win he ran for 194 yards and two touchdowns on just ten carries. He also contributed defensively with six tackles.

Hudson Campbell (RB-LB/Lockport) Campbell had quite an impressive night for Lockport. While only carrying the ball seven times he scored three touchdowns. With three pass receptions he added another score. He also had a 2-point conversion. Of his three tackles one was for a loss of yards.

Elijah Doxley (RB/OC Rivals) His overall play led to a combined 249 yards. He scored twice and gained 124 yards on 13 carries. He caught two passes for 85 yards and added another score. He had a 40-yard kick return, scored an extra point and also made two tackles.

Aiden Hopwood (WR/St. Francis) In a battle of two of the top ranked teams in the state the Red Raiders traveled to Syracuse to take on Christian Brothers Academy. Hopwood turned in a dominate performance with seven pass receptions for 197 yards and two touchdowns to help St. Francis to an imposing win.

Josh Lee (RB/South Park) Putting on an impressive running display Lee gained 185 yards on 27 carries and scored one touchdown. He also added 30 yards with two pass catches.

Anthony Martis (QB/Williamsville East) Completing over 78% of his passes Martis connected on 11 of his 14 attempts for 134 yards and four touchdowns. 

Eamon Mouyeos (WR-OLB/Williamsville North) Mouyes caught six passes for 132 yards and two TDs. From his linebacker spot he made seven tackles and recovered a fumble.

Trey Pfeiffer (RB/Iroquois) Helping Iroquois break into the win column Pfeiffer scored five rushing touchdowns while gaining 120 yards on 21 carries.

Hayden Schappacher (WR-DB/Portville) Accounting for all of his team’s 16 points Schappacher had two rushing touchdowns and a 2-point conversion. He completed a pass for the other two points. He also made nine tackles and intercepted a pass.

Connor Shiesley (WR/North Tonawanda) Averaging 24 yards per catch he gained 216 yards and scored one touchdown. Eight of his nine receptions resulted in first downs.

Gabe Terry (RB/Hamburg) Leading the Bulldogs to an impressive win Terry had 18 carries for 208 yards and three touchdowns.

Cinsere Tucker (WR-DB/West Seneca East) Tucker contributed 55 yards and a touchdown with four catches. He also returned an interception 72 yards for another score and had three total tackles.

Jackson Turski (QB/Clarence) Turski completed 14 of his 20 pass attempts for 233 yards and three touchdowns. Spreading the ball around, he connected with six different receivers.

Chase Uribes (FB-DE/Grand Island) It’s not always eye-opening stats that land a player on the Players of the Week list – although that certainly helps. Offensively it was Uribes’s tenacious blocking that helped the Vikings win Friday evening. Defensively, in addition to a sack and interception he was a disruptive force along the line and in the Maritime backfield.

Ryder Wolcott (QB-DE/ Cardinal O’Hara) Wolcott led O’Hara to an impressive win throwing two touchdowns and 189 yards. He also gained 65 yards and scored two more TDs on just two carries. On defense he made nine tackles, two tackles for loss of yardage and had three quarterback hurries.

Mason Anderson (QB/West Seneca West) Anderson completed 16 of 24 passes for 209 yards and four

touchdowns.

Zach Bridenbaker (RB-LB/Depew) A force on both sides of the ball Bridenbaker ran for 159 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Defensively he had 9 tackles, a sack and forced a fumble.

Trent Buttles (QB/St. Francis) Continuing his outstanding play Trent Buttles led the Red Raiders to a dominate win over Section VI powerhouse Bennett. He completed 11 of 17 pass attempts for 203 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran five times for 51 yards and another score.

Mekhi Chaka (WR-DB/Canisius) Helping the Crusaders to an impressive opening game win over Section VI rising power Health Sciences Chaka caught eight passes for 130 yards. He also contributed on special teams with four tackles.

Luke Fleischman (LB-Special Teams/St. Francis) In a contest that St. Francis would need outstanding performances in all areas of the game Luke Fleischman led the way on defense and special teams with 14 total tackles.

Dontre Hampton (RB-LB/Bennett) Scoring all three Bennett touchdowns he ran for 175 yards on 19 carries. His 50-yard pass reception was one of many highlights in this clash (v. St. Francis) between two perennial Western New York powers. Defensively he finished with quite an impressive 12 solo tackles.

Landon Harte (QB/Cheektowaga) Showing poise and leadership Harte led the Warriors to an opening day victory completing 10 of his 21 pass attempts for 282 yards and three touchdowns.

Desmond Hughes (RB-LB/McKinley) With just six carries Hughes ran for 151 yards and one touchdown. He also had six tackles and a sack in the Macks victory.

Elijah Kimble (RB-DB/Canisius) The reigning Connolly Cup winner put on an outstanding performance against Section VI power Health Sciences charter school. With just 15 carries he ran for 238 yards and four touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, he contributed with an interception.

Anthony Mantione (QB-LB/Grand Island) Whether running, passing or tackling Mantione was all over the field. He completed 7 – 14 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns. He ran 20 times for 143 yards and another two TDs. He also had five tackles on the day.

Vincenzo Mullett (QB/St. Mary’s of Lancaster) In an extremely hard-fought loss to Holy Cross of Queens, NY Mullet turned in quite a performance. He completed 20 of 29 passes for 277 yards and four touchdowns. Two of those scores covered 68 yards and 58 yards. While carrying the ball 10 times he gained 107 yards and scored another touchdown.

Joe Santoro (RB-DB/Williamsville East Flames) Santoro helped guide the Flames to an impressive season opening win. He ran for 80 yards and caught three passes for another 29 yards. From his defensive back position, he picked up a fumble and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown.

Alaric Richards (RB-LB/Jamestown) Most players would be satisfied to have any one of the stat lines Richards put up Friday night. He ran the ball 29 time for 201 yards and four touchdowns. He had 193 total yards just returning kicks (while having a kick return for a touchdown wiped out due to a penalty). Defensively he made ten tackles.

Justin Teubner (RB-DL/Lancaster) In the opening game of the Dick Gallagher Kickoff Classic Teubner was a force on both sides of the ball. He gained 103 yards on just 12 carries while scoring three touchdowns. He was a constant presence in the McQuaid backfield disrupting both their running and passing games, including having made one sack.

Josh Urban (RB-LB/West Seneca East) Leading the Trojans to their season opening win Urban scored four touchdowns while gaining 209 yards on just 14 carries. He also had six tackles and helped preserve a shutout with a blocked field goal attempt.
